![]() When days in financial aid are tough, how do we make it through? By remembering that financial aid is an industry of people and their stories. We often first think of students, but we each have our own stories, too. Let's celebrate them with each other!

In June, I participated in the SASFAA New Aid Officer Workshop (NAOW) as an instructor. We had an amazing time in Crestview Hills, Kentucky, at Thomas More University. This is a picture of my absolutely wonderful class. We rocked out to the 90s! You'll notice several of our Georgia colleagues in the picture, including: Lisa Perkins (UWG), Alex Eccles (Mercer), Kyle Wood (Truett McConnell), Heather Futch (Luther Rice College & Seminary), Peggy Bedgingfield (UNG), and Amanda Gilbert (UNG). If you've never participated in SASFAA NAOW, I highly recommend doing so!

I took Lily (2) to the library and you can tell her parents both work from home! I think we may even have a future FAA on our hands. The "sigh" as she began typing tells you everything you need to know about how much our kids watch what we do - even though we love our jobs, work is work! Now where she learned to cope with the stress of work by strangling herself with her mouse cord, I can't tell you. Mommy and I have wireless ones!
